The Battlefield 3 beta is in full swing and in the weekend some clever chaps decided to create a mod for your PC version in the game..The gamers modded the Operation Metro map to guide 128 players instead in the standard 32 because why not right We knew these items were gonna happen but everything you may not have seen coming was EA and DICEs response..According to Rock Paper Shotgun In an official statement around the forum which now appears like its been pulled they claimed that playing on the hacked servers can ca use your money being compromised stats to be altered or other issues to arise which might cause having your bank account being banned by EA. If your money does get banned it mean every other EA game you have on your own account would also be unavailable..YIKES That is a serious punishment. Especially considering some of those mods are popping up within the official Battlelog browser. Considering that DICE has recently come forward to say the Battlefield 3 is supposed for that PC and being hand-crafted for the PC I understand they're protective of their product. But punishing the consumers who pay with the product exclusively for experimenting then threatening all the other products they taken care of within you seems just mean-spirited..What would you guys think concerning this Does DICE and EA have the right to do this Have you seen any hacked servers or mods for that beta Do you think that hacking and modding for PC games is merely something publishers should stop worrying about Let me me know your thinking inside a comment below.
